Transforming T-shirts In-Person

Old T-shirts don't belong in the donation bin!  They are the perfect canvas for upcycling! In this workshop, we will show you how to turn a plain T-shirt/sweatshirt into a unique fashion piece.  You'll learn several applique techniques.

 Materials to Bring: Each session will provide basic supplies, but we encourage you to bring: 

  • Old clothes you’re ready to upcycle or a newer sweatshirt/t-shirt. 

  • Sewing kit (if you have one, though not required).  

  • Fabric scissors 

  • Fabric that inspires you by pattern/color/texture  

  • Old cotton fabric from a shirt or quilt bundles  

  • Embroidery floss that enhances your chosen fabric. 

  All you need to know is how to thread a needle and tie a knot
