Amateur Radio Technology with Jeff Meyer In-Person
Session 1: Learn the history of radio, beginning with the Titanic disaster. See how radio invisibly impacts your daily life and how we communicate with satellites and the International Space Station.
Session 2: Learn about NASA software that is used to talk to the MARS rover and how that same software enables opportunities for the blind and deaf communities.
Session 3: Learn about Doppler radar, how amateur radio assists the National Weather Service, and how radio messages are sent back and forth throughout our country every single day.
Session 4: Learn how a radio station works and what call signs, propagation, modes, bands, and licensing are all about.
